A couple of weeks ago we helped my sister move. As an added bonus we got to help her setup Zayden's crib! Isn't it lovely? What makes it even more lovely is we got the WHOLE crib set (wallpaper, lamp, curtains, bedding..everything) from Babies R Us for....drum roll please........$36. That's a saving of over $250! Can you even STAND that price?! Me neither!

Easter in the mud
Every year my family has a tradition of going to the desert to ride motorcycles & four wheelers the Friday and Saturday before Easter...every year we come home with a new story.
I will sum up this Easter story with a picture collage. Keep in mind as you're looking at this that I am not a fan of mud or dirt....at all....not even a little bit.
This is where I found Dan Saturday morning at 10am. Sleeping in the motorcycle trailer while the rain was pouring down outside. He refused to get out of bed.
This is where I found everyone else. Smashed into a camper. Keep in mind, this is only half of us...
We decided we had enough of the smashed camper scene. So we left. This is what happens when you leave while it's raining....you get stuck and have to dig the mud out from the wheels so they will turn....
Then you drive 2 inches and start all over again.....and your hands end up looking like this....
Then the Donner Party comes over the hill on their ATV's to rescue you....laughing all the way....so we result in obscene gestures....
and they keep laughing....then they take us back to the smashed camper scene that we so desperately wanted to get away from.
Once we were rescued, Gerald decides to have family scripture study...turns out he was really just reading out loud to himself.

Here is where we hiked a mountain to see this "awesome" cave.
Not awesome.
Then someone decides to take the scenic route back to camp. This is a picture of my sister and mom about to cry because we are about to slide off a cliff.
This is the Fisher's view of their near death experience. After all was said and done my uncle said "What was so bad about that? This happens all the time." Not in my life Corey!
Dan and Corey in the tunnel the Chinese dug with shovels. Quite amazing...I'm glad that wasn't my job.
This looks a lot like the "camper scene" but it's not. We obviously like to squish a lot of people in little areas and take pictures of it, ok?

At least it's not raining anymore!
This is where Dan decided to relieve himself....right where everyone could see him....thank you hun.

Back at camp. Are we having fun yet??
How about now?
Now?
This is my "kill me now" face.
The dogs seem to be enjoying it!
It finally dried up enough (5 hours later) so we could go home and shower.
When we got in the car it started shaking uncontrollably. So, we took it to the car wash to spray the mud out of the wheels. Now instead of just muddy, we are wet and muddy....awesome.
Dan's face says it all. "Disgusted"
This is where I said "lets take a picture, pretend like this is funny."

Me, Dan, & my mom. My sister is in the car enjoying a mud free life.
Prego lady! Only 5 more weeks!

Thinking hard....

Joni, my dad's sister Sherrie, and her daughter Zoe! We were so glad they came!

Thinking hard....
Thank you to everyone that came, and thank you Jill for letting us use your house!
Side note: I don't know why the spacing my posts are always messed up...sorry.

Community pet
I need to give you (all 2 of you that read this) an update on the mysterious badger in my yard. First of all, I found out it's a raccoon....like that makes it any better...I'm still terrified of it. I swear I am the only one in the neighborhood that has seen the stupid thing! Either that, or no one else sees a problem in having a raccoon hanging out with us like it's a community pet. Why has no one called 911?? Ok, 911 might be a little crazy person-ish, but for the LOVE people. Call animal control, call Animal Planet, call SOMEONE! I'm not usually one to go around calling and complaining about stupid things that happen within the neighborhood, but I draw the line at raccoon. The other day I saw it walking around the pool area like it owned the place. Of course I'M the person pulling into the parking lot at this time. No one else was around...just Julie and the coon. I let this encounter slide thinking someone else would see it and do something about it. No. That did not happen. Last night Dan comes in the house laughing and tells me that the raccoon is out again and it ran under a car. Whose car you ask? I'll give you one guess. MINE. MINE! There are at least 100 cars in our parking lot and it runs under stall #83! Could it not have picked the whiskey tango (white trash for all you non phonetic alphabet readers) El freaking Camino parked in the stall next door? Obviously not. Julie's car it is. I was up all night wondering how I was going to get in my car at 5am to go to work without the raccoon attacking my face. Erin volunteered to put some work gloves on and catch it for me, but I don't trust her raccoon catching abilities (Plus I don't think she even knows what work gloves really are :))! Back to the story....I called the HOA, aka Kier Property Management, and left them a voice mail. I let them know that there was a raccoon about to eat me and I'd really appreciate it if it was dead by 5am. Who wants to bet that he raccoon is still all snuggled up in it's little hole (I found that too) waiting for me to walk out to my car? I'd like to think otherwise....

Don't try to tell me this picture doesn't scare the crap out of you. (btw, this is not an actual picture of our pet raccoon...I would never get that close....but this is EXACTLY what the disgusting thing looks like...in fact it might be its twin. It's huge. HUGE I tell you!)

They say it's your birthday!
Dan turns 28 today. Such an old man! We both have to work today, so we celebrated yesterday. It's times like these that I wish my Kodak camera wasn't always dead, so I could capture the kodak moments of our lives.
Here's a run down of the festivities. Watch out, we party hard...
We ate at Jasoh. I wouldn't recommend it. First we got an appetizer... Bruschetta with some foul smelling cheese. The waitress could tell we didn't like it (probably because we didn't eat any of it) and brought us out some pot stickers. Much better! The main entrees were OK at best. Mine had a mini tree coming out of the center of it. I have no idea why, but it was hilarious. Just imagine a piece of a pine tree sticking out of mashed potatoes and pot roast. Once the waitress walked away we both burst out laughing. I had a hard time containing myself while she was still standing there. Luckily I held in the laughter until she got 3 feet away from our table. Dan's came out with an enormous bone in the middle of it and a wing. It was literally HALF a chicken. Like, they cut the chicken directly in half and put it on Dan's plate. Obviously we should stick to the lower class restaurants from now on. Trees, stinky cheese, and wings are too much for the lame folk to handle. We went to Walmart afterwards...because we're classy like that..... Right when we walked in Dan saw a sign for McDonalds and said "Oh man that looks so good, we should have come here to eat!" I'm sure the look on my face was priceless (another missed kodak moment). The Walmart McDonalds? Seriously? We've lowered ourselves to this?! We'll have to save that romantic dinner for MY birthday. Anyways, Walmart is always an interesting place to be, isn't it? Having a bad day? Try Walmart. We were there for no more than 10 minutes and within that time we saw: A lady carrying diapers around with purple hair (thank you for NOT reproducing ma'am), a Mexican family following us around singing "oo ee oo ahah ching chang wadda wadda bing bang" at the top of their lungs OVER AND OVER AND OVER, and a man wearing no shirt and 1960's jacket with only the middle button snapped (bow chica wow wow). OH and last but not least, someone threw a piece of candy at Dan's head while were standing in line. I could not stop laughing. That just topped it all off. Walmart....it never fails me. NEVER. Bargains and entertainment. It's one stop shopping. What more could you ask for?
We also went to TOADS to play miniture golf, arcade games, and take pictures in the little booth thingy. Fun times! Lets do it all again next year, Hun! (Minus Jasoh and Walmart of course)
28 going on 12....and that's the way I like it!

5 a.m. and ER visits
Not a lot happening in Fisher-land, but here's an update nonetheless. Currently I am sitting at work wishing someone would wheel in a stretcher and let me sleep for 6 more hours. 5 a.m. shifts should not be legal. I rolled out of bed this morning at 3:30 hoping it was all a dream. It wasn't. So here I sit, taking calls from the sick and the weary....oh, and the insane. Who calls the hospital at 5 a.m. on a Saturday (or ANY day for that matter)? Surprisingly, lots of people. If you are one of them, I suggest you stop. No one wants to talk to you at 5 in the morning, not even your great aunt Ethel...and especially not the hospital operator who doesn't know you, or Ethel, from Adam. I would appreciate your cooperation.
Dan just finished his Fire Officer I class. Yay, I might get to see him on his days off! He spent ridiculous amounts of hours doing ridiculous amounts of homework. When he wasn't doing homework, he was in class once or twice per week for 9 hours. He feels like he passed the final exam, but he won't know for a month. Next week he will be applying for the driver engineer position. He does not think he will get the position because he has the least time out of any of the guys applying. It's a pretty long and semi-hard interview process. It takes two days. One day for the written exam one day for the practical exam, with lots of math calculations in your head. Good thing he's a smart. I have trouble adding 2+2 in my head, much less dividing the size of a fire into 40 parts and multiplying it by how many gallons of smoke the neighborhood has inhaled because of one guys awesome idea to make his own fireworks. Brilliant. I'm sure Dan will do just fine. Even if he doesn't get the job, he'll know the drill for next time. I'm so proud of him and love to watch how dedicated he is. Dan knows what it feels like to wake up in the morning and NOT absolutely dread going to work. I'd love to feel that just ONCE. One day is all I'm asking for here. Hmmm, no such luck on my end.
In other news, we spent 3 hours in the ER last night with my mom. She was riding a unicycle and fell off and hit her head. Psych. No she wasn't. She hasn't been on a unicycle for years.
She thought she had a blood clot in her leg. Good news, she's fine. No blood clot....but still a sore, hot, swollen leg with no diagnosis. She was mortified to think that she actually went to the hospital and wasn't really sick. Better safe than dead my friend. Everyone was very nice and assured her they would have come in if they had the same symptoms as well. I sense a little bit of her dad in her. I had to beg her to go to the hospital...even while we were on the WAY to the hospital. I'm going to have to send her to Caleen's if she keeps this up =).
That's all the news I have for you. If my camera worked I would upload new photos. Instead I will have to dig through my archives and find something wonderful.
The G's

Ady's First Date
I was going to blog about my birthday, but since my awesome camera doesn't allow me to upload photos any longer, I will have to blog about my weekend in Twin using Erin's pictures. Thursday Erin and I headed to Twin falls for a weekend of awesomeness. The good times started with Erin's back window. The duct tape (actually, I think it's Gorilla tape...even better) was no longer doing it's job holding the window up. As you can imagine, 80 mph in a car with the window cracked isn't exactly QUIET. We pulled over in Tremonton and fixed it......By fixing it I mean more Gorilla tape and a folded up piece of paper shoved in the crease of the window. Classy. After that, we had no more technical difficulties and we were on our way.
We got to Erin's parents house and ate some yummy chicken/noodles/gravy/mashed potatoes, and played in the "jumpoline" with Tim (her nephew). Friday we woke up and took Tim and Adyson on their first date to Jump On It. It's a place with a bunch of different bounce houses. Way fun! Kudos to the lady that thought of such a great idea. It was only $5 and parents get in free. That's a bargain in my book. So, we ran, we played, we jumped, we slid, we sweat, AND we only had one crying episode from Ady. She hurt her bum one of the slides and she wanted her "moooooooommyyyyyyy." Oh so sad. She was pretty brave and went down the big slide twice. I have to admit, I was even a little scared going down.....but I couldn't let a 2 year old show me up.....so I put on my big girl pants and went down with her. Neither one of us knew whether to laugh or cry once we hit the bottom. Luckily we both looked at each other and started laughing . I'm a wuss.

After we had all the bouncing we could stand, we headed to Artic Circle for lunch. Ady had a hot "gog" and Tim ate fry sauce. Seriously, this kid loves fry sauce. The toys were too big for them to play on, so we took them home for naps.

Ady was SO excited when we got to her house because Grama Dene was there! I was glad she was there too so Ady would quit asking me where she was. Literally, every 5-10 minutes Ady would say, "Where's Grama Dene now?" "Is Grama Dene at my house?" "Grama Dene is bringing me a present." She sure loves her Grama Dene! Later that night we went to Grocery Outlet to look around. I put Ady in one of those carts that has the car on the front of it. She was SO embarrassed. She wanted to be in it, but she kind of didn't. She turns her head to the side when she gets embarrassed, it's so adorable. We drove inside to show Grama Dene what she was riding in. All it took was from Grandma to say "Wow, that is so awesome" and the embarrassment was gone! She loved it from then on. We kept telling her to "turn turn turn" when we went around corners, so she thought she was driving and would turn the steering wheel really fast. It reminded me of when I was little at the fair "driving" a car with my sister. We have a picture of it and I remember everything about it. I really thought we were steering and just KNEW we would crash and burn if we didn't turn EVERY corner. It makes me laugh to this day.
That night, Erin and I went out with her friends to Jonny Carinos. The food sucked so we got free desserts that tasted like nothing. Enough said about that.
I spent the night at Erin's house again that night. We got down the enormous box of notes written by me throughout the years, and also Erin's boyfriends since grade school. I should probably ask Erin before I write about this great night on my blog, but I won't because she might say no ;). I'm laughing right now just thinking about this. Lets start with the book from grade school. Ya know the one's where you draw pictures of your family, yourself, and what you want to be when you grow up? Erin's should be framed. Each page gets funnier and funnier. It starts with a picture of her (posted below), and moves on to her family. Her mom's waist is a "V" and one of her Dad's legs is suffering from elephantitis. She is also older than her brother in this picture. The last page is pure greatness. It's the "What do you want to be when you grow up" page. Most kids want to be a doctor, a firefighter, a store lady (yes they do), even a horticulturist. Not E-Dub. Let me describe the picture and you see if you can guess what it is....I couldn't. There is a man standing on the side of the page (I believe he is in a black suit). In front of him is a woman with her arms reaching up catching a baby. Now, what would you say this is depicting? A mother? A babysitter? Possibly an aunt? Nada. This my friends, is a Baby Catcher! She wanted to be the one that "caught" the babies when they were born! This girl dreams big! I won't even go into the notes, letters, and journal entries that we laughed at 'til our faces hurt. I just hope she figures out if she's really growing closer to Brandon Hoobler or not. Love ya gf!
Saturday I went out to eat with My brother, Heidi, Ady, Erin, and my mom. Ady was sporting a side pony that was pure cuteness. Grama Dene put some curlers in her bangs and her pony that morning. My mom said she loved them so much she didn't want to take them out. After she convinced her to take them out of her hair, Adyson touched one of the hot coils that heats up the curlers. She told my mom "I touched it and it burned me like you said it would." lol. Really? I guess Grandma WASN'T lying.
We headed home around 3pm on Saturday, but not before completely destroying our diets by getting a Banana shake from Shake Out. Mmmmmmm.
Side note: For those of you that don't know, Adyson is my niece.

Random
I've been tagged on facebook a few times for 25 random facts about myself. I figured I would do it on my blog where I could save it and read it a few years from now to see how much life has changed. Here are the rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you, then tag someone else. Oooooo, another list!
#1-I have a mini basketball hoop hanging on my front door......some things just aren't worth arguing about.
#2-I usually have chap stick on 24/7. I will only use Natural Ice or Mentholatum. I'm obviously addicted to menthol!
#3-I'm very focused when I clean. Dan hates it.
#4-I watch reality TV... and enjoy it.
#5-My least favorite Holiday is Halloween....Valentines Day is a close second.
#6-I love the smell and feel of a clean house.
#7-When I was younger I always wanted to be a "store lady" when I grew up. I loved the sound the cash register buttons made. Pretty ambitious dreams at age 6 if you ask me.
#8-When I was 7 I stepped on a tree branch that had fallen on the ground, and the fat end went through my inner thigh. This was no abrasion friends! I still have a huge scar from it.
#9-I love cereal. I usually eat it for every meal when Dan is working. Although, I won't pay more than $2 a box.
#10-I think go cart racing is embarrassing/awkward. I don't know why, I just do. I'm getting uncomfortable just typing about it.
#11-A Seagull pooped on my head once at Seven Peaks.
#12-Both my sister and I are terrified of birds....probably because they crap on innocent peoples heads.
#13-I don't have one romantic bone in my body. I think it's cheesy. (Lucky for Dan!)
#14-I've had the same BFF since 7th grade.
#15-One of my favorite movies is Along Came Polly. It seriously gets funnier every time I watch it. I watch it about once a month.
#16-My left eye has been itching relentlessly for 2 days now.
#17-I could never be a nurse. I instantly gag when I smell or see poop at the hospital. Snot I can handle, poop I cannot.
#18-I have a nose that can smell ANYTHING from a mile away. It's better than a dogs nose. It drives Dan crazy!
#19-I get stomach aches very easily. Especially from smells (that I smell with my dog-like nose.)
#20-I'm consistently amazed at how rude people are.
#21-I love Costco. Something about bringing home enormous packs of toilet paper and sugar snap peas is thrilling!
#22-If you ever want to taste the best caramel apple in Utah go here: http://www.caramelapplesandmore.com/contact.html Sugar and Spice is the best!
#23-I'm amazed at how horribly most people manage their money. I could never live paycheck to paycheck. I would be a basket case.
#24-Ever since I downloaded firefox, I cannot upload photos....and I'm very annoyed by this.
#25-I love banana shakes from the Shake Out in Twin Falls. They're incredible!
I tag whoever is cool enough to do it =)

You've got questions, I've got answers
I've had some questions from blog readers via email. I will address these questions here on the blog (anonymously of course... I wouldn't want to embarrass any of you by putting a name next to your stupid questions....haha I kid I kid).
1.) What is The Daily Scoop? It's just a blog written by a lady who is a lot smarter and more insightful than I am. I hesitate to give you her blog address for fear that you might read her blog over mine. Oh, who am I kidding? http://dailyscoop.blogspot.com/ Click on Camille's picture on the left hand side to get the full story.
2.) How do I leave a comment? I love lists. They should have been on my favorite things list. So, here we go with a step by step list on leaving a comment. If you still can't figure it out after reading the step by step, consider yourself special (Ed), and continue to email me your comments. I'll take them either way =).
3.) What is Edamame? A few people have asked me about this. It's a pod of deliciousness. They're fresh soy beans. Don't stop reading just because I said soy. They're really good! I was skeptical about these before I tried them, but now I'm in love. I even got Erin hooked on them. They look like peas in the pod. I prepare them by putting coarse sea salt in about a cup of water and heating it in the microwave for 2 minutes. Then I put the edamame in the microwave for 2.5 minutes, then pour the salt water over them. Stick the pod in your mouth, lick some of the salt off, push the beans out with your teeth and fingers, and bam....you are now experiencing the taste of edamame. Doesn't it sound great? You can also eat them without the salt. I obviously enjoy making healthy things as unhealthy as possible =)
That's all the answers I have. Anymore questions?
As always, a picture....just to show you how un-cool we really are.

- Scroll down to the end of the post you want to leave a comment on. Click on the words "3 comments." If you're the first person to leave a comment it will say "0 comments", if you're the 6th person to leave a comment it will say "5 comments." Basically any number with the word "comment" after it is where you should be clicking.
- This should bring you to the comment page. Comments that have already been made are on the left side of the screen (feel free to read them, but I take no accountability for what is said there. I can't control EVERYONE....just some people). On the right side there is a big white empty box. This is where you type your comment.
- When you're done ranting and raving, click on one of the options below the box. If you have a blog click on google/blogger. If you just want to put your name, click on Name/URL....you don't have to put a URL, just your name will work. If you'd rather not identify yourself then click on anonymous.
- Once you've chosen your option, click "publish your comment". That is it. You have officially posted a comment. I'm so proud of you!

Rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens......
I read The Daily Scoop blog almost everyday. I don't know the lady, but she always seems to have some sort of inspirational thought or idea. The other day she wrote about her favorite things and it made me start thinking about my favorite things. What are my favorite things? Well let me just tell you a few....and no it's not rain drops on roses or whiskers on kittens. In fact, if this were a list of my un-favorite things, cats would be on it. Here we go....
#1-Downy. There is nothing better than clothes that smell so good you want to eat them.

#20-DVR. I don't know how anyone lives without it!
There you have it friends! If I was as talented as Julie Andrews I would turn it into a song.....but I'm not....so take it or leave it! I hope to see some of your favorite things listed on your blogs soon!
#1-Downy. There is nothing better than clothes that smell so good you want to eat them.
#2-The Internet. What would I do all day at work without the Internet? Get up and walk out...that's what I'd do.
#3- A clean house. My mom always told me the spirit can't dwell in unclean places and I wholeheartedly believe it. (She usually said this when she walked into my room and had to step UP to get in there...I have since learned this is a fire hazard)
#4-Finding a bargain. Is there anything more satisfying? I think not.
#5-Edamame -don't knock it til you try it.
#6-Laughing so hard you cry....or pee your pant....whichever comes first (I won't name any names :)
#7-Naps. Pretty much the best thing on earth.
#8-My Niece, Adyson. She is so cute I want to squeeze the crap out of her.
#9-Family get togethers. Never a dull moment.
#10-ksl.com. I have sold so much junk on there. What are people thinking?
#11-Rainbow chip frosting. I'm drooling on myself just thinking about it.
#12-Memories. I love playing "remember when." Usually it ends up turning into #6 on my list.
#13-Movies. They usually make me fall asleep (hence the reason it takes me 3 days to watch one movie), but I love 'em!
#14-Pajama pants. Comfort at its finest.
#15-Salt and pepper chips. My new found love.
#16-Dr Pepper. MMMmmmmmMMMMM.
#17-Dan. He's the best.
#18-Shoes. I have too many...if there's such a thing.
#19-Loft parties with Erin. Could I ask for a funnier friend? Nope!
#20-DVR. I don't know how anyone lives without it!

Ready to go
My comments are fixed. Who knew a little check mark could cause so much distress! Comment away my friends...
As stated below, a picture MUST be attached......and the winner is........Dan picking his nose. Sorry hun!

Comments
I'm not sure why some of you can't leave comments about how awesome my page is. I will fix it while I am at work tonight so I don't die of boredom =)! I kind of have the same rule for blogs that I do books. If there are no pictures, I do not read it. So for your viewing pleasure, here is me making a snow angel.
